Today’s healthcare landscape and consumer demands are ever-evolving, requiring research and development teams to predict trends and problems to solve in order to scope, build, and launch products to market on a timeline that enables differentiation in the market.
The Ash product team is sharply focused on bringing products to market that both help our clients achieve goals and are patient centric. Following best in class prioritization methods, our team scopes each product feature for reach, impact, confidence, and effort in order to build a clearer roadmap with more impactful features and reduced wasted effort. The team alignment, objective discussions, and empowered decision-making the prioritization process facilitates has helped Ash reduce their time to market on key platform features and enhancements.
Now that we are over half way through the year, we felt it a perfect opportunity to reflect on the enhancements Ash has deployed over the past six months, and give a sneak peek into what’s to come.
Real-Time Reporting Portal Enhancements
In 2024, Ash released its real-time client reporting portal that allows providers and clients to view aggregate program metrics and patient level kit status and results details. In the months since the launch, the team has rolled out enhancements on a regular basis to meet client needs, including:
The coming months will see additional Client Portal enhancements that will include aggregate results visualizations, bulk reporting export options, artificial intelligence and natural language processing capabilities.
Insurance Billing
Ash is now accepting insurance for clients who want to offset the cost of their program by billing insurance. We are partnering with one lab in our network that has extensive experience with successfully billing insurance companies. We will accept patient insurance information on orders, which will be passed through to our lab partner. We can accept insurance for nearly one thousand plans and can bill for many of our common panels.
In-Person Testing Capabilities
In an effort to allow clients with multi-modal testing needs to contract with fewer partners, Ash launched in-person testing capabilities via our API services. We have partnered with a nationwide lab that has patient service centers in all 50 states. This will allow our clients and patients to choose the modality for sample collection, deploy engagement campaigns, and see results - all with Ash.
In person testing capabilities will also unlock large panels that aren’t a good fit for at-home testing, such as a complete blood count or complete metabolic panel.
Remote Patient Monitoring Capabilities
To provide a more holistic care experience beyond diagnostics, Ash has partnered with Impilo to integrate remote patient monitoring into our platform. Now, patients can receive kits inclusive of sample collection and devices such as blood pressure cuffs, scales, and wearables. This is perfect for clients that are providing testing to a diabetic population.
Easier Sample Collection Methods
In an ongoing effort to reduce patient friction with sample-collection, Ash launched Tasso, an upper arm blood collection device. This device uses a gentle suction method to collect a wet blood sample from the upper arm with a simple click of a button, perfect for clients:
Looking Ahead
Over the coming months Ash will be rolling out redesigned test kits with the goals of being more user friendly, enabling easier client branding, and improved modularity to fit any collection devices needed for a panel.
We will also be rolling out an EMR integration and major patient portal enhancements to help patients more easily understand what their test results mean and connect them back into our client’s ecosystem.
